Bernard Armani, Founder, President and CEO

Bernard Armani brings to PDC Biological Health Group over 25 years of international business and industry experience in the natural health industry in Germany, Switzerland, and Canada. He has a close working relationship with business partners in Asia, Europe and North America. A visionary by nature, he is a Mechanical Engineer by trade with multi faceted experiences in creating new business ideas, conducting research and development, patenting and safeguarding intellectual property, manufacturing, keeping up-to-date on statutes and regulations, and above all, pursuing business development in local and international markets.

A successful entrepreneur with a strong track record of converting business ideas into capital assets, Bernard is the power house of PDC. Bernard holds the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PDC (formerly Eidam Diagnostic Corporation). PDC since  2005  has focused on developing and investing in new biotech and healthcare technologies resulting in the current investment portfolio consisting of DermaMed pharmaceutical Inc., PDC Diagnostics Corporation, Pleomorphic Laboratories Corporation and Pharmaglyph Corporation. Bernard was also a Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BioLytical Laboratories from 2002 to 2005, and managed clinical trials of its flagship HIV rapid diagnostic product successfully. He later sold his ownership of the company in a  transaction worth over ten times the original investment within a 3-year period.

In 2005, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce in British Columbia, Canada awarded him the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award. 

 

Executive Management

 

Shelley Leonhardt, Chief Operating Officer

With over 25 years of public sector experience through Board positions at various organizations including the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Richmond, and the Gateway Theatre dealing extensively with a wide variety of industry professionals, municipal and provincial officials, and Chamber Executives throughout Canada and the United States to promote and develop both corporate and community interests of British Columbia, Shelley has brought to PDC Biological Health Group a rich spectrum of corporate management expertise since March 2005. She has since then assumed numerous responsibilities of the company encompassing virtually all aspects of import, more specifically public relations, investor relations, human resources, sales and marketing, administrative and office  management, and  organization of training and corporate events. She has been and continues to be the primary support person for the CRT 2000™clients. She is also a lead trainer of CRT 2000™.

During Shelley’s tenure as Executive Director of The Richmond Chamber of Commerce between 1993 and 2001, the organization was awarded Chamber of the Year in British Columbia. In 1998, she received Richmond, B.C.'s highly prestigious Business Woman of the Year award. She has won numerous awards and nominations, including the U.S. Consulate’s International V. P. Award, and Richmond's Marketer of the Year.

She has worked hard to establish a trust in her community and will maintain that bond by continuing to meet the needs of her fellow citizens.

 

Dr. James Odell, Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. James Odell has practiced traditional naturopathy for 30 years. His health care career began in 1974 as a hospital respiratory therapist, while completing undergraduate studies Texas Tech University. He moved to California and engaged in studies of naturopathy, homeopathy and phytotherapy. He graduated with a doctorate in naturopathy in 1980 from US International University, Los Angeles campus (currently renamed Alliant International University). Subsequently, he began learning Chinese Mandarin and studying traditional Chinese medicine. He then moved to China and In 1986 completed a three year post-doctoral program in traditional Chinese medicine at Shantou University Medical College, with medical. Residences at Shantou University Teaching Hospital, Shantou Central Hospital and Shiwan Hospital, Guangdong. Since returning from China, he has completed several internships in European Biological Medicine at the Paracelsus Klinik in Lustmuhle, Switzerland. Dr. Odell is certified in acupuncture with the NCCAOM and is licensed in acupuncture in Kentucky, Colorado, and South Carolina. He is a Certified Traditional Naturopath with the American Naturopathic Certification Board, and a Certified Instructor of Tuina with the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia.

Over the past 10 years he has been the education coordinator for the Paracelsus Biological Medicine Network (pbmn.org) which conducts conferences and workshops on the principles and practices of European Biological Medicine. He has been using contact regulation thermography in his practice for over 10 years and has studied CRT 2000™under the tutorship of Dr. Petra Blum and Dr. Thomas Rau. He currently conducts workshops for PDC Biological Health Group on CRT 2000™ interpretation. Dr. Odell provides a CRT interpretation service for CRT practitioners and their patients, and maintains an informational web site on Biological Medicine (www.biologicalmedicine.info). Dr. Odell is also the owner of Phytodyne, Inc. (www.niskos.com), the exclusive North American importer and distributor of CERES Heilmittel AG plant tinctures manufactured in Switzerland.

 

George Deng, Engineer and Chief Technology Officer

George Deng has worked for the PDC Biological Health Group for 8 years.  He is the Engineer and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for PDC and focuses on CRT manufacture, installation, test, technical support, customer service and troubleshooting.

He has excellent experience in the field of electronic engineering, automatic/computer control systems and the workings of computers for over 28 years. He has rich experiences in test, implementation and maintenance of hardware systems, including digital circuits /analog circuits (printed circuit board level) and firmware systems. Prior to PDC Biological Health Group, he worked for Computer Research Center of Machine Institute in Beijing, the Information Management Center of Sino-Japanese Youth Exchange Center in Beijing and Olivetti (China) Ltd. before 1999. 

George graduated from Beijing University of Technology, China in 1984 and has received professional training for Automatic Control System respectively in Singapore in 1988, in Tokyo Japan in 1988 and in Moscow, Russia in 1991 and 1993.  Upon arriving in Canada, he also studied at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

 

Megha Shakya, Executive Administrator

A seasoned Business Development Strategist with over 25 years of global experience, Megha, after completing his MBA, started his career with the Ministry of Trade in Nepal. He trained business communities to develop their skills in international market research and prospecting international buyers. As a successful entrepreneur himself, he managed his export and import company for over a decade, including an international business partnership with a well known Malaysian company selling herbal health products. Later he was in social marketing for community development in various sectors including health, environment, agriculture, and other areas of importance to the society. With his creativity and management skills, he made his mark in every organization he worked for. He was invited by the Irish Export Board in Dublin and by CBI, the Dutch Export Promotion in Rotterdam to learn and share export marketing techniques, by the Korean Federation of industries to observe Korean industrial success in a month long visit, and by Princeton University to spend a year at Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs to study international economics.

He worked with the United Nations in Nepal and The Gambia, and numerous international non-profit organizations from UK, France, and The Netherlands to help impoverished communities in the society improve their socio-economic conditions. He moved to Canada in 2009 and has since been involved in numerous business and social services that include board membership in Research and Ethics Board of SFU, Trans Himalayan Aid Society, and volunteers in Canada Without Poverty. A strong believer of preventive and alternative medicine, he actively advocates for the dissemination of useful information to the people. Exposed to numerous cultures through his travels in many countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America, he brings to PDC Biological Health Group a rich tapestry of his experiences of business administration and development. He speaks English, French, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali and Newari.

In 2010, Megha was awarded the Lillian To Scholarship by Aston College, Vancouver as an emerging new immigrant star in Canada.
